Smart Roof Mechatronics – Roof Mechanical and electrical systems combined

Why use ALNO for your convertible roof repairs

Knowledge base second to none in Australia / New Zealand terms of getting convertible roofs moving again

Quality roof components – Australian made components come with 2-year warranty yet many of our components outlast the OEM design in many cases. In the case where there is a sacrificial component in terms of plastic gears we replace the design intent with the same design intent.

Low cost repair – where our customer just wants to get the roof moving again and sell the convertible we call the second-hand car dealer option. Just get the roof moving so we can sell it.

Automated Convertible roofs or more commonly called my transformer

Smart mechatronic systems where one needs a mechanical engineering degree to understand the programing the system or even just fault finding in terms of errors and coding.

One can burn through quite a bit of money guessing that can be your money or the customer’s money. Guessing if it the fuse, rely, gear set, motor gear or wire harness, roof controller, the program in the roof controller is nor compatible with your convertible because you have replaced it. The team at ALNO have seen some of the simplest cases of repair such as replacing a broken rear window turning into a costly exercise due to the guess factor.

  1. I called Anthony in Dec 2016 and left a voice message. No reply.
I emailed Anthony in Dec 2016. No reply.
I called Anthony in Jan 2017,he answered and we spoke for 30 minutes.

I have a 2006 Holden Astra TS Convertible and the roof will only partially open My local Holden Dealer found the problem to be the electric roof motor. The part costs $750 however is now discontinued.
Every other part of the roof functions and the roof latches have been recently replaced with genuine parts. I asked Anthony if he had a Motor and how much. He said he had 7 new motors in stock and they cost $750. I told Anthony I would like to purchase one. He said that he only sells them to customers. I said, I am a customer. He said that he only sells them to customers that have their roof latches reconditioned by him. I asked how much that cost and he told me $1800. I told him that my roof latches were near new and working perfectly. He told me that they were cheap Chinese after market market latches which are prone to fail and would need to be reconditioned. As I said earlier, they are genuine and were recently replaced. I asked Anthony what was involved to recondition latches and he said that was his business.

I found Anthony to be rude, arrogant, insulting, dismissive, condescending, dishonest, misleading and unethical. I asked my authorised repairer to contact Anthony to see if he could get any further than I did. He had the same experience which is a clear warning that this is the sort of person he is and this is how he conducts his business.

If we went ahead with ALNO, it would cost $2550 for parts and reconditioning plus freight plus labour.I have bought a near new genuine Bosch motor with a 12 month warranty for $220 plus 2 hours labour for $176. The roof is now repaired and working perfectly for a total cost of $396

I would not use ALNO, I would not recommend ALNO or Anthony and I warn anyone contemplating engaging their services not to.

Read through their website, spelling mistakes, poor grammar, and a lot of fictitious, unsubstantiated testimonials.
